Von Dutch

From the biker scene to Hollywood

Von Dutch was founded in 1999 and is based in Los Angeles, California. By now, the brand is known worldwide and primarily offers Baseball Caps in a wide variety of styles. The designs are inspired by a combination of motorcycle lifestyle and a vintage look. Initially, the North American biker scene was the main target group for the fashion brand. Today, more and more Hollywood stars and icons are loving the casual styles of the brand. The US label always sets trends with character, as the caps are characterized by a striking design with the rustic charm of the biker lifestyle. Von Dutch is particularly known for its trendy Trucker Caps which are total winners thanks to their coolness.

An icon in the 50s and 60s

Founder Kenneth Howard, aka Von Dutch, became an icon of the street rod crowd in the 50s and 60s and definitely remains one to this day. The brand really shot to fame thanks to French designer Christian Audigier. In the beginning, the successful fashion designer was the head of the company, taking Von Dutch to the top and helping it gain massive popularity. Howard led a minimalist lifestyle and was happy with simple things. The charm the artist radiated can still be found today in the designs of Von Dutch products. Von Dutch's famous “Flying Eyeball” logo is based on Howard's earlier work as an artist. A standout feature is, of course, the airy mesh insert at the back, which always ensures top-notch ventilation. For a comfortable fit, the size of the open-back Snapback Cap can be adjusted via a snapback closure.
