Over 100 Years of the Chicago White Sox
The Chicago White Sox were founded in 1894 as an amateur team. Back then, they still played in the Western League of the Minor League. Today, they are members of the MLB and play in the Central Division of the American League.

There was more than just one logo for the Chicago White Sox
From 1890 to 1911, the logo consisted of the blue letter C. During these years, the logo changed time and again, apart from the colors. The first major change came in 1912: the logo consisted of a large S, which enclosed a small O in the upper curve and a small X in the lower curve. This logo has been the most famous to date and lasted for six years.
The logo was then changed several more times, usually to a more elaborate design with many small details. In 1936, the White Sox adopted the well-known 1912 logo again for another two years with only minor modifications.
The current Chicago White Sox logo has been around since 1911. It features the black and white SOX lettering with a silver border in a diagonal position. Simple and understated, but at the same time elegant and absolutely memorable.
