The beginning with Underworld Element

The Element success story began in 1992. After a few tough years, founder Johnny Schillereff wanted to take a risk and start something positive with his passion for skateboarding. From the start, there was one goal: founder Johnny Schillereff wanted to create a brand that people all over the world could identify with. He wanted to offer them the best by doing what he truly believes in. He founded the company Underworld Element, which at the time sold clothing and accessories for skateboarders. However, until then, the brand was only known and popular in true insider circles.

Seemingly insurmountable challenges forced Schillereff to completely rebuild the company. He changed the name to "element" and designed the world-famous tree logo. Today, they don't just make clothes for skateboarders, but everything that's cool. This especially includes trendy Beanies and stylish Beanies. Since 2002, the company element has belonged to the parent company Billabong.

With the new start, Johnny Schillereff also designed the new logo. The solid trunk and strong branches demonstrate that the label can handle all four elements and can and will continue to evolve with them. It also represents the founder's connection to nature and positive mindset.
