New Era 9FORTY – the adjustable cap with a curved brim

The 9FORTY is New Era's adjustable cap: six panels, pre-curved brim, one size. It's usually closed with a snap button, alongside models with a buckle or velcro strap. At CapUniverse you can get it with MLB, NBA and NFL licences – or completely without a team logo as a basic.

9FORTY, 9FIFTY or 59FIFTY – how to tell them apart

Two features set the lines apart: the closure and the brim shape. Unlike the 9FIFTY, the 9FORTY has a curved brim instead of a flat one, and unlike the 59FIFTY, it doesn't need a size chart.

• 9FORTY – one size, adjustable, curved brim. The all-rounder for every day.
• 9FIFTY – also a snap button, but mostly with a flat brim.
• 59FIFTY – only in fixed sizes, closed at the back, flat brim.
• 39THIRTY – elastic, fits in size ranges like S/M and M/L.

Keep in mind: with New Era, the brim shape follows the line fairly reliably, the closure doesn't. On the 9FORTY, the curved brim is practically a given.

From Yankees to basic – what's in the range

The lion's share carries MLB licences, above all the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Add to that NBA teams and a few NFL models. The range is made up of four groups:

• Team caps – MLB makes up the biggest group, with NBA following at a distance.
• Trucker with mesh – airy back for warm days.
• Basic without a logo – plain, single-coloured, for anyone who prefers it cleaner.
• Kids' sizes – the same design, just one size smaller.

1. 9Forty JUNIOR NY Yankees – the kids' size comes out on top.
2. 9Forty League Basic Yankees – the classic for adults.

Two things stand out. The Yankees dominate the range more clearly than any other team. And the fact that a junior size tops the list says a lot about the 9FORTY: it's the cap many people start the game with.

Order on a weekday by 2pm and delivery can be as soon as the next working day, otherwise within 1–3 working days. From €70 order value, we cover the shipping. We deliver to Germany, the EU and Switzerland. And because one size doesn't fit everyone the same way: 100 days to return, no reason needed.
